Halloween 2007

Since this was our first Halloween in Missouri, we didnt know where to really Trick or treat. We ended up going to our mall and there were so many kids there and it was a lot of fun. The boys came away with 3 buckets of candy and Logan and Connor have found a new love-suckers! It was a great night for our first Halloween here.

Trevor's party at Grant's Farm Halloween

What a great weekend. It started off by Diana and the girls coming in from Fort Wayne to spend a weekend with us. They got here on Friday about 1pm. Trevor was still in school, so they were able to bring his PSP cake and decorate it here. He loved it! WE had a quick "happy birthday" song and presents and then left for our evening of fun.
Our original plan was to go to City Museum, but an event there quickly changed our plans. We were scramblin around for something fun to do that was open late. A quick call to daddy and a google search told us there was some Halloween fun to be had at Grant's Farm. So that is where we headed. Boy we sure were glad it turned out that way. WE had soooo much fun!
We were joined with our new friends Amy and Mike and 2 of their children, Easton and Sophie. We also brought our little friend Blake who lives a couple of apartments away. New friends are the greatest!!!

Enjoying our good eats.
The wonderful thing about Grant's farm is the fact that it is Free and every adult over 21 gets 2 free drinks! Grant's farm is owned and operated by Annhuser Busch. Here is me enjoying one of my 2 (a very fruity malt beverage.).

This is what it has come down to....

It isn't enough that the boys strip out of their clothes, but when a poopy diaper is involved, that is where I draw the line. The latest is pulling an arm out of their sleepers (which are pinned shut at the top) and unfastening their diapers. This leads to legs full of MESS! So now we close the diapers with duct tape. Anyone want to lay bets down as to how long it will take to crack the tape????
"what? I am the inncocent one here."
"i can break out of this diaper-even with the tape"
"woo! Naked boy is happy"

Chuck E Cheese for his birthday.

A seven-year-old's favorites- a full token cup and orange soda!
Woo Hoo!!!
WILD BOYS!!!!
Brothers= Best buds!

This year was something new for us- not having family around. So to make the most of it, we took the family for a night out at Chuck E Cheese. It was so quiet and peaceful ( I guess that is the benefit to having more than one in your city) and the boys were able to play. The one here has a toddler play area with climbers just thier size, while Trevor was able to go explore and play all the games he wanted. Obviously, he instantly headed for the Monster Truck! Teh boys enjoysed climbing on the riding toys and pretending to drive them.

Trevor is now 7

It is so hard to believe that Trevor is now 7. Soon the twins will be 2 and where does time go? Trevor is so big now. Here is his shirt we picked out (in his favorite color-green) for his birthday. How lucky that he had a 7 on it already!

One last pic of my 3 boys!

Well, we did it.....first hair cut....BWWAAAHHHHHHH!!!

It was a tough decision, but after being called girls twice, we needed to make the plunge.
Here is a picture of the boys this morning, precut.
Connor- precut with a head full of curls!
Logan precut with his curly hair
Connor went first, then Logan.
Connor all done!
Logan went next. the two pix above are of Logi.
Logan all done!

Both recieved a sucker and were absolute gems. Never cried once and were so good. We recieved a little card with thier first curl in it and it had the date, time and age of thier first cut. Kudos to daddy for the fantastic pictures!!!

Logan on the left, Connor on the right. I think the cuts make them so identical. I have been calling them the wrong names all night long.

Trevor's first skating lesson for Hockey

Watching the Zamboni
Pic with the Zamboni in the background
Trevor holding his exclusive skate school pass.
The hockey program is very reasonable and includes the equipment, which is nice. He really enjoyed his first lesson, but was disappointed about not getting to go on the ice. They worked on proper skate fit, walking forward and backward and balancing. He still had fun and was beaming from ear to ear with the skates on.
The neat thing about the program is that it is USFS (US Figure Skating) accredited program, so each time they complete a skill level, they get a badge and certificate. Trevor is an official member of the USFS association. Once he gets through the basic skills, he'll get to start hockey.
So our big boy will be 7 next week. And a big boy he has become.
We saw the new pediatrician last week. He is 49 1/4 inches tall and weghed in at 58.4 lbs of solid muscle. He is in the 75th% for height and 80th% for weight. Not too shabby and growing as he should. He had some lab tests done that came back normal. he also started some new asthma medications. He ended up getting a chicken pox booster, but now, there are no more shots (except the flu) until he is 11 years old!!!!
