six flags

Since we would not be getting to spend our Memorial day holiday with family at Jellystone and have the cook out at Mom and Dads, we decided to spend out Friday doing something fun. We went to six Flags. How neat it is to have an amusement park in the same city and a mere 20 minutes away!!!! We have season passes, so we can go anytime all summer long and enjoy the water park and the rides. Trevor rode his first rollercoasters. The first he did was the new Tony Hawk ride with me. He was afraid and wouldnt look. The next was the mine ride rollercoaster. He loved it. He kept yelling "I'm good! My eyes are open, I'm looking!" It was so cute. He loved going there and so did we. Unfortunately for the babies, it was none too exciting. When they are a tad bigger, they will enjoy the bugs bunny world. I had to experience the Ninja and Batman all by myself, but it was still great and there were several coasters I didnt touch.
Yes, do not adjust your computer. That is John on a ride. (and he enjoyed it)

Trevor meets Tweety
I love this picture. Connor was so into Tweety and Logan couldnt get far enough away. Lo is deathly afraid of the characters and Connor was enthralled. Too funny to see thier personalities so different.

connor's first major boo boo

With walking comes the battle marks. He tripped and fell into our curio cabinet. Luckily it just grazed his skin, but he did get a shiner and bruised cheek. Do you think it slowed him down?

Window gazing

The view from outside. The two love to look out the window and have fashioned themselves a series of "steps" from toys that they climb up on to get up on the toy chest and look out the window. (Connor Left, Logan right)
Connors post bath curly mop- then it dries mostly straight with curlies at the back.

NEWS FLASH!!! Connor has walked!!!!

Connor has walked his first steps today!! He took many and even walked the hall. Once he got the hang of balancing himself, it was mere minutes before he decided to venture with a few steps. Though he tends to look like a drunken sailor,, he is proud of himself.

It is hard not to celebrate each new milestone. When I think back to where these boys were last year, they have come so far and made such excellent strides. They are truely little miracles and marvels in our eyes. We are so proud of our little man. Logan still has yet to gain his balance confidently, but as long as he has his little push walker, he can go anywhere. He looks like a little old man with his walker.

Here is video of those first few steps.

More experiments in cloth diapering....

Well, since I am now home full time, we went back to cloth diapering. This time around I am doing some more experimenting with the different methods out there. WEll, this is one of those old-fashioned diapers with a new contaption to replace the old diaper pins. It is callled a snappi. WEll, apparently I am not getting it, because this is what it looked like after an hour of crawling around. String bikinis do not become my boys. I definately have some more to learn about this technique. On the other side, I am into a new hobby of painting and dying shirts and diaper covers for babies. maybe I wil get good enough to sell them, who knows, but for the time being I am working on a few for those near and dear to me to see how they like them. My designs are very simple and fun. The dying is a garment dye, so they are very soft and colorful. As for diapers, I think I had better stick to my velcro ones for now.....

rain, rain, go away....

Well, the arguement wont win in Trevor's eyes.
Trevor continues to make many little boy friends and they are all a big fan of the mud bog in the back of our building. I am glad to see them being boys and playing like kids should and not wasting away in front of the TV. Trevor asks precisely every night if he may go to bed "Mom, I am just so tired" ,he says. We are loving it.```

Hey Wendy!!!! They still work! 15 months and counting.....

I am such a cool mom.....

It rained buckets today. The hill in front of the house was like a flowing waterfall and Trevor was staring out the window in awe. I said "get out there and play in that"! He was like "really?" So he put on his swimsuit and turned a very boring rainy day into an adventure!
The rain slowing down.
Killer mud puddle- the ultimate boy experience!

What a fabulous day it was to swim. Partly sunny and very warm. We were able to steal away to the pool for an hour to swim. the water was chilly so mommy spent some time in the hot tub too. The babies loved the water and swimming and in thier little floaties they propelled all over the pool. So cute! Hopefully the water will get warmer as the days stay hot.

Last Friday, the weather was warm and sunny and we were able to get away for some time at one of the many nearby parks. The boys enjoyed swinging for the first time together.

Back to back fun!
